There was a 5.6 magnitude earthquake Tuesday night at around 11:04PM EST in San Jose, California, in which wrajradio.com was able to survive the quake. The site servers were located about two miles west from the epicenter of the quake. “Everything went smoothly,” said Anthony Zaragoza. “We reported no downtime and there were no reports of power failures.”
After nearly 5 months of releasing our high-definition version of our website, we were unable to put the new HD look and feel on the blogs on wrajradio.com because the blogs are stored on a different webserver. And now that trouble is over, Anthony’s Blog and the WRAJ Internet Radio blog has the high-definition look and feel. We did have problems with the RSS feeds on both blogs so your RSS reader might be unable to read it for a few hours.
Exciting news for Nokia mobile users using the S60 model, WRAJ Internet Radio has approved Nokia’s invitation to add the station in their new internet radio directory. The directory will be used on some of their mobile phones that are able to tune into internet radio stations. Within the directory, we added our high-speed stream (128k) and our low-speed stream (24k), in which we recommend the low-speed stream to reduce buffering. The station is listed in the Rock genre. “We are very excited that we are starting to move to the mobile platform of listening to the station,” said Anthony Zaragoza, general manager of WRAJ Internet Radio. The station should be listed in the directory in the upcoming week.
Anthony Zaragoza announced Thursday that the Afternoon Show will be changing timeslots again for the second time since the changes in August. Zaragoza is not publishing why he decided to change the show times.
This announcement can change, so stay tune with the WRAJ Blog for the latest updates.
The WRAJ Internet Radio Blog has a brand new look. We removed the left sidebar to make more room for viewing the blog entries. We also put in a navigation tab on top of the page. The archive link will allow users to browse the monthly history pages. The categories tab will bring you to the listings of categories that are used on the blog. This new look and feel will be going to the other blog systems by early November. Enjoy the new look!
Anthony Zaragoza announced to the staff on Friday that he is suggesting to revamp the weekend morning schedule. This comes after a few weeks of “Indie Traffic Jam” being on hiatus, currently repeats are being aired on its time slot. At this time, it is unknown if the show will continue its broadcast of new programming. The high rated programs, “On the Horizon,” “AZ Tech Talk,” and “The Colorado Wave” will be remaining on the schedule.
We are proud to announce that WRAJ Internet Radio is now listed on two radio directory websites.

WRAJ Internet Radio is also listed in the iHeard radio directory located here. You will be able to go to our profile page on the site and be able to tune in from there.
As mentioned last week, adding new photos for the Photo Gallery Widget will resolve the issue. After adding photos to the photo gallery, it had resolve the issue to the users who’s widget wouldn’t load the image.
We are still having problems with some users of the WRAJ internet Radio Photo Gallery Widget. We did correct the issue, but some user’s widget may try to obtain an image that does not exist on our surver. Which is why you will get this as a result:
New photos will be posted into the gallery next week, this will correct the issue. This situation does vary from computer to computer and the problems was resulted by human fault. If the results continue when new photos are posted, we will plan to release version 1.1 of the widget so that it can be functional again.
