We are preparing remote live broadcasts, which we need to update our DNS and IP addresses so that this is possible. However, we will be disconnected from the internet for over 24 hours so that the DNS and IP address settings can be in effect for our other offices in California and Florida. We are alsoWe are also rearranging our studio and offices to handle the new divison of Jenthony Enterprises, which means that everything will have to halt for the next day. We have decided to this long-term operation this weekend because of the low amount of listeners. We will be sure to have the station back up by Monday morning for the work week.

Afternoon Moves Back to 3PM

Friday, November 16th, 2007

Anthony Zaragoza announced “the 12PM time slot for three hours is a difficult time for me, which is why I’ve been absent many times for the Afternoon [show].” He added that meetings and other jobs needed to be done, especially with the plans of the company expanding. “The original time slot, from 3PM - 6PM, will go back in effect after the Thanksgiving weekend, which will be November 30th.” Zaragoza did note that the 12PM time slot was temporary when he announced it in August. The 3PM time slot has always been the timeslot for the Afternoon Show since the start in January 2003.

Anthony also announced that he will be attempting to do the first live remote broadcast of the Afternoon Show from the new facilities in Tampa, Florida in late December.
Earlier this year, The Afternoon Show began to be considered by critics as one of the longest running weekly live internet radio show in the United States.

WRAJ - No Longer a Teen O&O Station

Monday, November 12th, 2007

WRAJ Internet Radio’s tagline “an internet radio station that is owned by a teenager” is no longer a tagline of the station anymore as Anthony celebrated his 20th birthday over the weekend. Zaragoza was the most successful webcaster at his age during the past 5 years because no one at his age was able to keep their stations going, either by the funding or by minimum time of maintaining the station. Zaragoza also expanded WRAJ Internet Radio to its own company in 2005 forming Jenthony Enterprises, Inc., in which no other internet radio station has done before.

Website Problems Resolved - 11/8

Friday, November 9th, 2007

Everything has been resolved from what appeared as a system crash on Thursday evening. Maria O’Connell, community and relations director, notified users at 8:45pm EST that there was a system problem involving with the site’s PHP core, which generates most of the pages on this site. The result of the crash was because there were many people on the site causing many executions of the PHP core. “This problem is pretty common with PHP,” said Anthony Zaragoza. “Even Facebook, the popular social networking website, uses the same PHP cores and scripts as we do and they also have the same problem that we had today from time to time.”

Sleep ModeWhat caused most of the execution problems was with the advertisements. We successfully rebooted the servers and software and put the site to sleep mode until we resolved the issue. Sleep mode is a special feature programmed in the site to stop all PHP executions for upgrades, maintenance, or backing up. “It took us around two hours to resolve the issue,” said Anthony Zaragoza. “The site would start running smoothly then it will start displaying internal server error messages. With those messages, we then knew where the problem lied since our end we got the complete error message that can’t be displayed for guest users. Then after the fifth time of fixing errors we finally got everything working again and it turned out that there were to many executions being performed by over a hundred multiple users.”

“It is a good sign that many people are accessing the site, and we will perform any upgrades to handle more users at one time,” Anthony added. The last site crash happened in April 2006 which lasted for about 4 days because the administrators were unsure the actual cause of the problem was and Zaragoza refused to open the site up again before the issue was resolved.
