96K Stream Removed

November 5th, 2007

The Medium speed stream, also was known as 96k for its bitrate, has been removed. “The server still exists but it will be removed soon by December 1st, it depends if someone access it,” said Anthony Zaragoza, general manger of WRAJ Internet Radio. “By Wednesday when you start the 96K stream, you will hear the announcement that this stream will be removed followed by instructions before the stream is launched.”

The third streaming server is being removed after a major budget cut for WRAJ Internet Radio that was announced today. “We are spending more money then what the station is actually getting,” said Anthony Zaragoza. In August 2007, WRAJ Internet Radio purchased nearly $500 of services, equipment, and on-air programming. Jenthony Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of WRAJ Internet Radio, is cutting the budget by half. “We also want to save up money to launch a second stream while getting new equipment.” It was added that the listeners shouldn’t notice a difference and nothing should be interfered on-air.
