The latest announcement about Vidgle is continuing to spread the excitement of Jenthony’s newest product, Vidgle. On Sunday, Anthony announced that users of the iPhone and iPod Touch will be able to watch Vidgle videos right through the device’s web-browser so users don’t have to sync the podcast feed on the user’s computer. “This was made possible because of our second video file, which will be a M4V file, along with the FLV file for basic usage.” iPhone and Touch users may be aware that Flash is not supported in the device’s Safari browser, however a Quicktime object will be placed in the page containing the video so that users will be able to watch the videos on the go. “Our original plan was that users, including iPhone and Touch users, will need to sync our podcast feed to their computer, obviously now that has changed.”
Anthony has also announced that the podcast feed file type will be M4V, which has been popular by podcasters so that podcasts can work on iPods and AppleTVs. The video resolution is continuing to be at EDTV widescreen level at 854×480 pixels. The site is continuing to be structured, Anthony added the message board launch will be February 21.
