WRAJ Internet Radio’s website, wrajradio.com, and Vidgle’s server should be back to normal after the earthquake yesterday near Los Angeles. WRAJ Internet Radio webserver was moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June. “There was slow connections from our headquarters in New York for hours after the quake and so was other sites hostdd in the area of the quate,” said Anthony Zaragoza, general manager of WRAJ.

Its been almost 5 years of WRAJ Internet Radio’s website current site template was launched and now a make over is in process. A 2006 designed template was going to be the new layout but it has been dropped in the past month and instead a new template will be designed in the upcoming months.

The new template is expected to launch in January or August 2009.

We are currently in a brownout which we need to turn off all of our equipment for protection. We have used already the 3 hours of power backup to keep the station on air. We are unaware when power will be restored.

A brownout is when there a drop of voltage in electrical supply.

We are proud to announce that in the upcoming weeks, we will be launching new features to our website, WRAJRadio.com. The WRAJ Internet Radio music guide will be returning with some new features. Users will be able to make requests up to 2-4 times a day from the website.

With the music guide, users will need to be registered to WRAJ Internet Radio’s old message board system, as it will be returning replacing the myWRAJ portal.

Also, you will soon be able to watch videos from Vidgle directly from WRAJRadio.com.

We will be off the air for a few minutes this evening, after 1AM EST on July 10, as we upgrade our broadcasting software to the newest version. We rarely upgrade our broadcasting software, but there are new features in the software that we would like to take advantage of. The upgrade process should only last for about 30 minutes.
