Vidlge Update - 1/31

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

The board of Jenthony Enterprises, Inc. does not find Anthony’s vidgle.com plan a good idea during Thursday’s meeting. The meeting was the first meeting about the launch for the website. “They were scared of the tagline/slogan of the site, ‘watch us anytime, anywhere,’” Anthony said after the meeting. “At first, the board thought the slogan was for a site about a Big Brother webcast of my life, which of course is not.”

The second tough thing was about money, “will Vidgle bring in money.” Anthony’s response was simple, “we need the fan-base and much hits as possible, that’s whats causing a failure at WRAJ Internet Radio.” Anthony added “we need the site to be in the open and marketed well, if not, the site will go no where.”

Another problem was the confusion that Anthony is trying to say through out his plan, “it was hard to write and speak this plan.” His simple saying is that the site will contain series of different shows.

What convinced the board to get the site going is with the members who are interested to join the website upon startup. There are over 50 people interested to be part of the website.

Anthony added “this site is already passed, because it is something I’m willing to dedicate and so are the many people who are willing to join the crew.” There will be a final discussion on Monday of the budget proposel.

The Hack Attack

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

On Wednesday afternoon, the frontpages of wrajradio.com was hacked by hackers. This was not the first attack reported, on Friday afternoon the site’s unused music guide section was hacked. “We are aware of a vulnerability in our coding for publishing song information to the site, we are currently upgrading our systems to a new secured platform to prevent future attacks,” said Anthony Zaragoza. He also reported that user’s information within the myWRAJ portal was secured and wasn’t accessed by the hackers.

Anthony reports that the site will be down from time to time to fix the problem, even some parts of the website is going to be reconstructed. Anthony encourages people to listen to WRAJ by going to WRAJ Internet Radio’s listen page at http://community.loudcity.com/stations/wraj-internet-radio/files/show/ . The WRAJ Internet Radio Player on the listen live page, the Player application and Player widget may not work when the website is unavailable.

The videos are going to be recorded at an HDTV level and will be down-converted to an EDTV level The video There will also be a RSS feed of the videos so users will be able to retrieve the video automatically without visiting the site via a media-RSS reader, such as iTunes. “This will save bandwidth as well,” said Anthony Zaragoza. “Users will be able to download the video once on their computer instead downloading it multiple times on the website.” Anthony added that the site’s structure is so advanced, that it can be easily accessible for the future of the internet with accessibility to future hardware and software.
