Earlier this year, WRAJ Internet Radio announced, with its parent company Jenthony, that the station and the company will shift 80% of tasks from a Microsoft Windows PC to the Macintosh Operating System. As Anthony explained in January that this process will take a while, but the task is already ahead. Zaragoza reported on Friday that wrajradio.com will be 95% managed and coded on Macs by October. Currently, Macs are only being used to publish articles, such as this page, on the site, which is only 30% of the site operations.
Zaragoza also added “When we start to get comfortable with our software for about a few months, we might consider to change the site template for non-HD users in 2009.” Graphics on the site is already being created on the Mac since early this year, but the site template hasn’t changed since November 2003.
Last year when Zaragoza mentioned a site look change, many site fans argue not to change it, some mentioned that the site is the best looking site. Zaragoza did not leave any comments of the reactions.
In July 2007 alone, wrajradio.com reached over 3,000 unique users in more than 15 countries.
Other operations which will be done on the Mac includes audio editing, video editing (for another division of Jenthony), website editing, booklet publishing, vinyl cutting (for another division of Jenthony), and graphic editing. WRAJ Internet Radio will still continue to run the broadcasting software SAM on the Windows Operating System with Windows XP Pro.
As a ‘plot’ of a deadly shooting at a high school effected us so close to home and throughout the nation, we’ve decided to share the views of what some students and alumni told us at WRAJ in the last 24 hours. In this blog post, we have not shared names. Please note: This blog entry does not exploit the views and opinions of WRAJ Internet Radio, its parent company, Jenthony Enterprises, Inc; including its subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, successors, and agents. On July 13th broadcast of The Afternoon Show, Anthony announced if WRAJ Internet Radio will be on the air on Sunday/Monday of what was known as “The Day When the Music Dies.”
WRAJ Internet Radio was one of the million of webcasters today that were silent throughout the day. It turns out the day of silence throughout the day on all of the stations were a success. (more…)
Anthony has lost his voice and will be unable to do the show. He will not be on the show till June 6, which is two straight weeks Anthony will not be on the show.
“Once again for another summer, I will be out a lot and so does our staff because of the summer vacations. Second, we are planning to open a small 1-mic audio setup in Florida so we can do live shows remotely, which is going to be taken care of next week.” (Anthony Zaragoza)
Anthony is not publishing anything else about the new setup in Florida, and where exactly it is in Florida. Anthony did say it will be WRAJ Internet Radio’s third operational location when he is away from home.
WRAJ Internet Radio current operational locations are Long Island and San Francisco which the San Francisco location was threatening to close earlier this year.
The Afternoon Show time slot changes that would be effective on June 29 has been changed. The new start date will be July 27. The new time slot will be on Fridays from 12:00 - 4:00 from July 27 through January 11, 2008.
At this time, it is uncertain if the new time slots will still exist after the end date.
We have great news for fans of the 4 and half year old radio show, we are planning to expand the Afternoon Show.
